These garments began in the hands of artisans across Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Southern India — where centuries-old textile traditions still breathe life into fabrics, in villages where the knowledge of how to make cloth the right way has never been lost.
Each piece passes through an alchemical process. Organic cotton and jute grown from the earth, stonewashed and softened before a single stitch is placed. Some are dyed with plants that have colored human fabrics for thousands of years — madder root, indigo, turmeric flower, pomegranate peel, walnut. Others with azo-free pigments, by families whose livelihoods depend on keeping their rivers clean. The water they use returns to the earth without poison.

A layering piece reworked from stonewashed Indian vintage Kantha quilts — heavy cloth softened by time, then hand-stitched layer upon layer. The lining is hand block-printed cotton, dyed with azo-free pigments.

Wide, structured, and worn at the hara — the body's center of power, the seat of will and instinct. The thin pieces are organic cotton, hand block-printed and dyed entirely with plant pigments, adorned with antique Indian rupees to draw abundance and creativity. The larger mirrored belts are made by gypsy women from Gujarat.
